Nearly 20 years ago, I started my career as a journalist and documentary researcher. Over the years I rose the ranks in newspapers and magazines, learning the industry from the inside out.

After hiring many freelancers, and taking on many freelance assignments myself, I started teaching freelancing workshops in person and for the EFA. I also wrote a booklet on networking for them and ghostwrote a book on finding and applying for grants as an individual artist.
